Collection of pencil sketches - 13 1/2 x 9 inches - of peasants, friends, perhaps relatives. Note the sketch in the upper lefthand corner of the erection of a cross on the occasion of the death of Emperor Franz Joseph in November 1916.

Oil. Earliest major signed painting dating to Jaeger’s university days. Acquired by the present owner’s Viennese grandfather in payment of a debt.
